Mrs. Geraldine Mary Johnston
Mrs. Geraldine Johnston, wife of Earl Johnston, passed away at the Tabusintac Nursing Home on Saturday March 9, 2002 at the age of 86.
Born in Tabusintac she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Murray) Beattie. She was a member of the Mountain View United Church in Moncton and worked for C.N. Telegraph. Besides her husband Earl she is survived by one daughter Heather of Moncton; one sister Geddes Beattie of Tabusintac and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by four sisters Opal, Marguerite, Edith, Florrie; three brothers Borden, Earl and Mons.
The family received relatives and friends at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Tabusintac on Monday March 11, 2002, from 7 - 9. The funeral service was held on Tuesday March 12, 2002 at 2 p.m. from St John's Presbyterian Church with John Crawford officiating.
Organist, Mrs Myles Wishart and the church choir led the congregation in the singing of "All The Way My Saviour Leads Me" and "How Great Thou Art". Active Pallbearers were Brian and Christopher Avery, Johnny and Robbie Wishart, Arthur Johnston and Ross Strang. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Tabusintac in the spring. As expression of Sympathy donations may be made to a charity of the donor choice and would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Northumbereland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St.
