Obituary of George Leo Kingston c1926-2006
The death of George Leo Kingston, husband of Stephanie (Seng) Kingston of Miramichi, NB occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the age of 80. Born in Chatham NB, George was the son of the late Samuel and Lillian (Loggie) Kingston.
George retired from Repap Pulp & Paper Mill as a mechanical engineer in 1991, he had an active interest in Genealogy and was an active member of the Miramichi Genealogy Society, member of St Michael's Museum, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 10, Newcastle and attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Besides his wife Stephanie, George is survived by five daughters: Anne Marie Kingston of Calgary AB, Elizabeth Cox (Terry) of Los Vegas, Patricia Boyle (Dennis) of Saint John, NB, Martha Brown (Mark) of Bedford, NS and Suzanne Kingston (Howard LaBilloys) of Saint John, NB: three sons: Michael and Tom of Vancouver, BC and John (Heather) of Edmonton, AB; four sisters: Monica Vickers and Carmel Leslie of Miramichi, NB and Bernadette Sullivan (Pat) of Mount St. Louis, ON and Patty Kelly (Brendan) of Ontario. Three brothers: Aloysius (Eleanor) of Miramichi, NB, Frank (Margie) of Dalhousie, NB and Joe (Eleanor) of Port Perry, ON; fifteen grandchildren: Sam and Jason, Carolyn and Emily, Stephanie and Leslie, Dennis, Seamus, Christine, Brendan and Kathryn , Laura and Logan and Charlie and Magnus. Several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by two sisters: Ann Marie Weissler and Rita Byberg and two brothers: William and Paul
Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home, Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 7-9 PM and Friday , December 8, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 1 PM with father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
In George's memory a donation may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or a memorial of ones choice.
