Ezra Clark "Deed" Benjamin Mulford
This Indenture made the fourteenth day of May
in the year of our Lord One thousand eight-hundred and three between Ezra Clark
of Columbia in the County of Hamilton and State of Ohio of the one part and
Benjamin Mulford of the same County and State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Ezra Clark for and in consideration of the sum of
eight hundred dollars to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Benjamin
Mulford before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and
payment of which the said Ezra Clark doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and
therefore doth acquit release exonerate and forever discharge the said Benjamin
Mjulford & his heirs executors and administrators by these presents and
doth hereby grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, convey and confirm unto the
said Benjamin Mulford his heirs and assigns forever a certain parcel of land in
Section number thirty two in fourth Township and Section (?Second?) Fractional
Range of Townships in the Miami Purchase as follows to wit: Beginning at the
North West corner of said land and running South one hundred and two poles
adjoining Jeremiah Mills from that running East two hundred and twelve poles
adjoining Ezra Clark from thence running North seventy one poles adjoining
Congress reserve from thence running West one hundred and thirty one poles and
seven tenths adjoining Elijah Stites from thence running North thirty one poles
and seven adjoining the said Stites from thence running West eighty poles
adjoining Daniel Mulfords to the place of beginning containing one hundred and
ten acres to have and to hold the said premises with all and singular the
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only
proper use benefit and behoof of the said Benjamin Mulford his heirs and
assigns forever. And the said Ezra Clark for himself his heirs executors and
administrators covenant and grant unto and with the said Benjamin Mulford his
heirs, executors, administrators and assigns that he the said Ezra Clark is
lawfully and rightfully seized of the before mentioned premises and of every
part and parcel _____and also that he hath good rights and power and lawful
authority in his own right to grant, bargain, sell and convey the same in
manner and form aforesaid. And the said Ezra Clark for himself his heirs
executors and administrators further covenant and grant unto and with the said
Benjamin Mulford his heirs executors and administrators and assigns against the
said Ezra Clark and his heirs executors and administrators and every other
person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever by these
presents defend. In Witness whereof the said Ezra Clark together with Phebe his
wife who hereby relinquishes her right of Dower to the premises hath hereunto
set their hands and affixed their seals the day above written.

Personally came before me Wm Brown Esq. One
of the Justices within and for said County assigned to keep the Peace Ezra
Clark together with Phebe his wife signers and sealers of the within Instrument
the said Phebe being examined separately and apart from her said husband
declares she is under no kind of coercion or compulsion from her said husband.
They do severally acknowledge the written Instrument to be their free act. In
Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Columbia in said
County in the year 1803.
