This Indenture made the tenth day of August
in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between
Gavin Morrison and Sarah his wife of the County of Clinton in the State of Ohio
of the first part and Hiram Anderson of the County and State aforesaid of the
second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration
of the sum of two hundred and twenty-five dollars of lawful money of the United
States to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened,
enfoffed, and confirmed and by their presents doth grant, bargain, sell, enfoff
and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns
forever all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land situate lying and being
in the County of Clinton and State of Ohio containing seventy-five acres being
part of John Harvies Survey No. 3342 and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning
at a hickory at the West corner of said survey, thence S 44 1/2 degrees E175
8/10 poles to a staked hickory bearing S64degrees E29 links and an Elm N31
degrees W19 links thence N18 1/4 degrees E89 1/4 poles to a dogwood thence N13
degrees W46poles to a red bud on the south bank of said creek, thence N48
degrees W18 poles to a staked white ash bearing N19degrees E15 links on the
north bank of said creek thence down said bank with the meanders therein
N43 1/4 degrees W11 1/2 poles to a white oak thence N84 1/2 degrees W9 poles to
a white oak thence S65 degrees W 14 1/3 poles to a white oak thence N78 3/4
degrees W31 poles to a red oak thence S29degrees W16 3/4 poles to a white oak
thence S11 1/2 degreesE16 poles to a white oak thence S45 degrees W/leaving the
bank of said creek of 7 8/10 poles to a stake thence N45 degrees W47 poles to a
white oak in the northwest boundary of said survey thence with the same S45
degrees W33 1/2 poles to the beginning . Together with all and singular the hereditaments
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the
reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents issued and profits
threrof and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim or demand whatsoever
of the said party of the first part, either in law or equity of in and to the
above bargained promised with the said hereditaments and appurtenances To have
and to hold the said Premises above particularly mentioned and described to the
said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said
Gavin Morrison doth for himself, his heirs executors and administrators
covenant and grant to and with the said party of the second part, his heirs and
assigns that he the said party of the first part is lawfully seized in fee of
the aforesaid granted premises and that they are free from all encumbrances
that he hath good right to sell and convey the same to the said party of the
second part as aforesaid; and that he will and that his heirs executors and
administrators will warrant and defend the same to the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns forever against all lawful demands of all persons.
In Witness whereof the said Gavin Morrison and Sarah his wife have hereunto set
their hands and affix their seals the day and year first above written. Signed

Before the undersigned one of the Justices of
the peace within and for the county aforesaid on this tenth day of August 1832
personally appeared Gavin Morrison and Sarah his wife the above named grantors
and acknowledged the above indenture to be their voluntary act and deed And at
the same time well known to be the persons they represent themselves to be and
the wife of said Morrison being by me first examined separate and apart from
her husband and made acquainted with the contents of the above deed by hearing
the same read acknowledged that she did sign the aforesaid deed and now doth
acknowledge the same freely and voluntarily and without any fear force or
coercion of her said husband.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and thirty two.

Clinton and Warren Counties.
