Ezra Clark and Daniel Mulford per William Woodward to George P. Torrence.

This Indenture made this __day of __in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven. Between William Woodward Esquire late coroner of the County of Hamilton in the State of Ohio of the one part and George Paull Torrence of Cincinnati of the other part. Whereas Mathias Denman of New Jersey to wit: at Cincinnati in the Court of Common Pleas held in and for the County of Hamilton aforesaid at the term of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten did recover by Judgment of said Court against EzraClark and Daniel Mulford two hundred and sixty-two dollars and sixty-two cents debt as above one hundred and eight dollars and eight cents as well for the damages which he sustained by occasion of the detaining of that debt as for their costs and charges by them about their suit in that behalf expended by the non performance of a certain Indenture of Mortgage by them the said Ezra and Daniel to the said Matthias lately made whereof the said Ezra and Daniel was convicted as by the records and proceedings thereof in the said Court remaining more fully appears. And Whereas the said Matthias prosecuted on the said Judgement out of the said Court a certain writ of the State of levari facias to the Coroner of the County of Hamilton aforesaid directed by which said all tract or parcel of land to wit three hundred and fifty-three acres and one third be it more or less lying and being in the thirty second Section of the fourth Township and second Fractional Range of Townships in the Miami purchase. Beginning at the SourthEast corner of said Section thence running West eighty chains to the Sourhwest corner of said Section thence North twenty chains adjoining Samuel Muchmore thence North sixty chains thence East seventeen chains thence East thirty chains and fifty links thence South thirty-two chains and fifty-seven links thence South forty-three links to the place of beginning together with all and singular the rights members privileges and appurtenances thereon to belonging or in anywise appertaining. Except one hundred and ten acres of the within mentioned land which Benjamin Mulford is to have. And thereby cause to be made the debt and damages recovered or as foresaid and that he should have those monies before the Judges aforesaid and that he should have those monies beforesaid at Cincinnati aforesaid on the first Tuesday of December next to be paid to the said Mathias for his debt damages costs and charges aforesaid and that he should have their then that writ and whereas the said Coroner by virtue of the said writ to him directed as aforesaid did return that he had made one thousand and thirty one dollars and twenty-seven cents as by the said writ and return refrence being the thereunto and will more fully appear. And Whereas the said William Woodward in pursuance of the said Writ of levari facias and according to the law of the State in such case lately made and provided and the premises and directions therein contained having legally advertized and made known the same did on the seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten at the courthouse in Cincinnati in the County aforesaid expose to sale by public vendue or outcry the aforesaid tract of land with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any way is appertaining. And all the right tithe interest claim property and demand of them the said Ezra and Daniel into and over the said tract of land and ___and thereupon the said George Paull Torrence did their and thene bid for the said tract of land one thousand and thirty-one dollars and twenty seven cents and no person bidding more the said tract of land with all its appurtenances in due manner openly cried off and sold to the said Geo Paull Torrence for the said sum of one thousand and thirty-one dollars and twenty-seven cents and no person bidding more the said tract of land with all the appurtenances in deal manner openly cried off and sold to the said Geo. Paull torrence for the said sum of one thousand and thirty-one dollars and twenty-seven cents therefore to confirm the said purchase to the said George Paull Torrence as aforesaid made. This Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Woodward Coroner of the County of Hamilton of and in consideration of the sum of one thousand and thirty-one dollars and twenty seven cents to him in hand paid by the said George Paul Torrence the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and by virtue of the law of the State in such case lately made and provided hath granted bargained sold aliened released enfoeffed conveyed and confirmed unto George Paull Torrence his heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract of land aforesaid described with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining with all the Estate right, title claim property and demand of them the said Ezra and Daniel unto and over the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold all and singular the above granted and bargained premises and appurtenances to the said George Paull Torrence his heirs and assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as I the said William Woodward by virtue of the Writ aforesaid might could or ought to convey the same. In Testimony whereof the said William Woodward late Coroner of the County of Hamilton aforesaid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.

State of Ohio Hamilton county ss: Before me one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in and for said County personally appeared William Woodward late Coroner of Hamilton aforesaid and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein expressed.
