Dora Elizabeth (Beth) Fairbourne
Beth Fairbourne, 86, passed away June 16 2001. Born September 7, 1914 in Alpine Utah to Elbert Clifton and Dora May Bennett. Married Joseph Bunnier Fairbourne, September 27, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1933 and from the Utah Beauty College in 1940 on a liscensed beautification and owned her own beauty shop. She also helped her husband operate the Vista Fountain Drive Inn and the JEPCA Lead Construction Company in Granger, Utah. She sang in a choir, and taught the Gleaner Girls Class and was the den mother of the Boy Scouts of America while living in California. She lived and traveled for 13 years in other states. Mom loved to draw and collect mivie star photos.
Mom's life was dedicated to her family, she was always willing to help us all with a kind and gentle heart.
Her home was always open to her family and special friends from many walks of life. She always had a big smile for everyone. She loved her cat, Squeaky, a faithful companion for 14 years.
Survived by her four sons, Paul, Courtney, Ace, and Vance, all of the Salt Lake area. 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Chloe Mary Coon, Kearns, and Mildred Stoker, Washington; two brothers, Keith Bennett, Kearns and John Elvin Bennett, Magna.
We love you mom and you will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, in the chapel at Lake Hills Memorial Estates, 10055 So. State Street, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment Lake Hills Memorial Estates.
