John Collins Mulford
In his history of Shelby County, Ohio, Hitchcock states that it is recorded that "the Miami Christian Church was organized in 1849 by Rev. James Skillen, and Joseph Warbelton in the home of John Mulford, the first members of the body being John, his brother Amos and their wives. The first church structure for their assembly was erected in Logan County, Ohio. Portions of Logan and Miami counties were originally attached to Shelby County.
