Mary Ann Drake

  General Notes:

Mary Ann was bedridden for many years with Cancer. She lived next door to a "colored" church, and enjoyed talking and joking with the parishoners as they came and went. She was one to enjoy a bawdy joke. She spent her time piecing together quilts.
Her husband died many years earlier, and so she had a live-in housekeeper/aide to take care of her as her health was failing.

Her address was 502 S. Main, Kirksville, Missouri

Mary married Madison Loften Ferguson, son of John Henry Ferguson and Nancy Ellen Anderson, on 1 Mar 1873-1874 in Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa. (Madison Loften Ferguson was born on 6 Nov 1852 in , Boone, Indiana, died on 4 May 1925 in Kirksville, Adair, Missouri ¹ and was buried on 7 May 1925 in Moots Cemetery, Adair, Missouri.) The cause of his death was cerebral hemorrhage.
