Richard L. Bennett
American Fork -- Richard Le Roy Bennett, 71, of 355 N. 200 W., American Fork, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1977 at the University Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
He was born Jan. 5, 1906 in American Fork to Silas B. and Dora Miller Bennett. he married Vivian Selman on July 31, 1935 in Elko, Nev., and she died Feb. 5, 1973.
Mr. Bennett had been a heavy equipment operator and member of the Operating Engineers Local 3.
Survivors include one son and one daughter, Raymond Bennett, Carmichael, Calif.; Kathleen Joy Bennett, American Fork; his stepmother, Mrs. Alberta Bennett, Alpine; two brothers and one sister, Frank G. Bennett and Bert Bennett, both of American Fork; Mrs. Eva Penrose, Yearlington, Nev.; two half - sisters and two half - brothers, Mrs. Virginia Blaney, Paul Bennett and Ralph Bennett, all of Alpine, and Mrs. Irene Edwards, Pleasant Grove.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Anderson and Sons Mortuary in American Fork, where friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Monday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in American Fork Cemetery. 3
