bullet  General Notes:

I know nothing definite about her except that she outlived her husband.
The following information/argument was received from David Hudson on 4/20/92: Benjamin Williams of Elizabeth left a will made and proved in 1730 naming his two eldest sons, Benjamin [who d. 12 / 1750] and Ebenezer (both under 14), Thomas (b. about 1724), Jonathan, and daus.Sarah (wife of Richard Miller Jr.), Margaret, and Ann. His widow was named Mindwell, a name that rarely if ever occurs in early NJ except in connection with the Williams and Mulford families. Lewis 5 Mulford named a daughter Mindwell and a son Benjamin, another unusual name among the Mulford's of northern NJ. If we assume that Benjamin Williams' married daughter Sarah was around 20 years old when he made his will in 1730, she was born about 1710. Most of Benjamin Williams' other children (including all the boys) were born after 1717, so Ann may have been about the same age as Lewis 4 Mulford.
Additional support for a close family relationship between the Williamses and Mulfords is found in the positions of their gravestones: Thomas Williams (son of Benjamin) and his wife Rebekah (Halsey) and son Caleb, as well as his brothers Benjamin and Ebenezer and his sister-in-law Joanna (wife of Jonathan) are buried in a Williams plot that adjoins Lewis Mulford's family plot, in the row behind it. One of Thomas' daughters, Hannah 1753?-76, is actually buried in Lewis's plot, directly in front ofher parents' graves.
