Anna's birth date and the location of her grave suggest strongly that she was an unmarried daughter of Benjamin and Max Creswell identifies her as such. According to a note in Mulfords in America, p. 81, she may have helped to organize the Presbyterian Church in Roselle, which was once known as Mulford.
Anna was probably the woman between 30 and 40 years old who as living in Benjamin household in Elizabeth Township in 1830. But if she was, why did he not mention her by name in his pension application?
In the 1850 census, an Anna Mulford aged 55 was living alone and separately in the house of Lewis and Charlotte (Williams) Mulford in Elizabeth Township. Anna did not marry.
