Millard Dayton Mulford was born on Long Island, New York. Moved to East Bloomfield,Ontario County, New York. There he married Mary Munson and had 5 sons and 1 girl. Later he moved to New Providence, Hardin County, Iowa and is buried at the New Providence Cemetary, He died about 1897. He was a charter member of the Presbyterian Church at Point Pleasant, Iowa. Mary died in 1852. Her sister Ruth married Henry Booth.
