Descendants include Rev. Elisha Mulford LL.D., of the Episcopal Churchand of Montrose, Penn., a graduate of Yale, authour of "The Nation", and Sylvanus S. Mulford, Esq., M.D., of New York City and also a graduate of Yale.
Elisha Mulford was too old for active duty, but he used his wealth and influence for the patriot cause. The younger branches of the family fought nobly for their country. 1
