Suffolk County SS: Be it known that at a Surrogate’s Court held at Riverhead in andfor the County of Suffolk November 10th 1873, Present John R Reid Surrogate, thelast Will and Testament of Phebe Candy late of the Town of East Hampton in saidCounty, deceased, was proved before the said John R Reid the said Surrogate as avalid Will of Real and Personal Estate, which Will and Proofs are as follows:

Will
In the name of God Amen. I Phebe Candy, wife of Abraham Davie Candy of the town of Easthampton in the County of Suffolk and State of New York being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding do hereby make, publish and declare my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
Firstly – I order my executor hereinafter mentioned or named to pay all my just debtsand funeral charges, as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.
Secondly – I give devise and bequeath all my estate both real and personal in feesimple, which I shall own or be possessed of at the time of my death (after thepayment of any debts and funeral charges) to my beloved husband Abraham Davie
Candy, to him, his heirs and assigns forever.
Lastly – I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my husband Abraham DavieCandy, sole executor of this my last Will and Testament, and hereby expressly revoke all and every former Will and Testament by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
