  General Notes:

John & Experiance married by Rev Nathaniel Hunthing, second minister to East Hampton and 20th couple he married. John and his brotherThomas in herited in 1716 most of father's estate. John's share lying largely in parish of Brighampton. He resided in Wamscot 6 miles west of East Hampton. Was trustee of the town and member of Suffolk Rgt.about 1715. Except for two daughters who died young and Joseph who went to Branford, CT to live all of John's children are mentioned in his will dated 1760. Most of property went to two oldest sons of his two wives. Had 12 children by Experiance of whom Josiah was the 6th child. John and Ann had six more children.

John married Experiance Miller, daughter of Jeremiah Miller and Mary Mulford, on 25 Dec 1702 in Easthampton, Long Island, Suffolk, New York. (Experiance Miller was born in 1685 in Easthampton, Long Island, Suffolk, New York and died on 20 Aug 1723 in Wainscott, Suffolk, New York.)
